Tai Ji Classes

Tai Ji, or "Tai Chi" as it is often romanized, is a martial art that teaches balance, grace, and awareness over fighting prowess. Because of this, it is an excellent exercise for all ages and abilities. The benefits of training Tai Ji are well known and extensively published.

At Ronin Combatives we train Tai Ji for the purpose of understanding how our body moves and relates to the world around us better. I believe that this "holistic" view of training make us more well rounded individuals.

The style of Tai Ji that we train is not one of the "Big 4" (Chen, Yang, Sun, and Wu). The style we study is most commonly known as "Wong Style", or "Huang Style" after Grandmaster Huang Sheng Shyan who was a student of Cheng Man-ch'ing.
